9 Months Progress- The before pics are a HOT MESS..lol, but y'all should know I don't care by now. |
A brief re-cap
Last April I made the decision to truly get in shape and get my body to where I wanted it to be.
For the last 5 or so years, I have been in and out of the gym or doing different at-home work-outs, but I was never consistent for longer than 2-3 months at a time.
In April I started my daily at-home work-outs which consisted of 5 minutes of cardio then 30 minutes of different ab & glutes workouts daily. After about 1 month, I saw a slight change in my weight/body and for some reason I stopped working out as much.
When May came around and I had a tooth issue, I decided to cut out almost all sugar, artificial sugars, dyes, etc from my diet. After doing that, I lost 10 pounds in one month with little exercise.
Between June and Mid August, I didn't work-out as much as I should have yet the weight still stayed off. That was good and all, but my body was not toned and not cute(to me). I also was sick for a little and lost even more weight.
So at the end of August(after intentionally gaining about 10 lbs back), I re-committed myself to the gym and I am proud to say that I am going stronger than ever. I work-out 6x a week. I go to the gym at least 4x a week and work-out at home on days I don't feel like going. I literally look forward to my workouts because I am loving the progress.
I have also changed my diet, water intake and hair regimen to fit my current lifestyle.
I just recently got a Fitbit HR Charge(which I LOVEEEE) and I am also doing a challenge with my friend, LaLa which ends March 25th. So stay tuned....
