Vacationing with the Fro - Pt. 2

Hey Y'all! Hope you're doing well!

I went to Jamaica on a mini-vacation and wanted to share my experience with you.

Hair care was very simple and the same as before.

I just spritzed my aloe vera mix and sealed with shea-butter everyday. I also slept with a shower cap. Before swimming at the beach, I made sure my hair was well lubricated with shea-butter and coconut oil. I also rinsed my hair thoroughly as soon as I got out.
I, unfortunately, didn't bring conditioner so I opted not to wash my hair until I got home. My spritz had a lot of anti-bacterial ingredients, so my hair is/was doing just fine.
Because I was out in the sun all day, my hair did feel a little dry at times, but no visible breakage/damage occurred. I mainly wore a puff because I wanted my hair up and out of the way. It was too hot, for me, to wear it down.

Now about the response to my natural hair?

I can't even count the number of comments I received on it daily. They were all positive and the men seemed to LOVE natural hair out there. Where I was, there weren't many naturals. I was one of the only women I seen with a fro so it got a lot of attention.
A few people asked to touch it, mostly men. A few touched it without my permission(at the club) which really made me upset because they were kind of tugging on it. But because I was in a different Country, I held my tongue. A few people also questioned if my hair was real. ~>weird.
All in all, it was a good experience, but I may wear braids next time I travel there. I like sticking out, but not that much. lol

Let me end this with saying, I LOVEEEEEEEE JAMAICA!!!

Everyone from the hotel, to the clubs, to the beach, to the restaurants, and even on the streets were so very nice! The beach was perfect, the food was good, the environment was lovely. I had the time of my life and am already looking at dates to go again.
